WOOHOO!!!!!

It is here...finally.....it is HUGE!!!! There was more door room in the other frig but this one is blots bigger than the old one. To get it in the house they had to remove the front door and the hydraulic hinges on the storm door but they got it in and set up...before I let them continue their installation process I made sure that the drawer could open on the bottom of the frig...it is one of those deli drawers and something I really wanted in a frig...then I made them put the handles on the door to make sure that again that door could open far enough to open that drawer!!! Whoopee it worked :)
So here is the front of of the frig.....with ice cube/water in the door...never had that before :)

Interior packed with all the schtuff that was in the other one :) I am thinking that I won't find any more spoiled sugar peas in the back...hum...how would I know that???

Here is the bottom freezer....check out those slider drawers :)

Well my frig saga is over...now on to then next appliance story...but that is a totally different story :)

But the good news is that they are going to deliver it tomorrow instead...so those of you waiting with bated breath....let out a sigh and wait for tomorrow's post
But to appease those who checked to see the new frig...here are some doggie pics instead...daily life around here ;)

Out with the old....

Ah...I contemplate, and stew, and think, and over-think when I make a major purchase..so all that to say it has been in my thots for over a year or two to replace the frig we have with one that can actually function well for us. See even in my "sloppiness" I am a very organized person...I do like things in their place and a place for things...does that mean they always get returned to the place where they are supposed to be??? No...but at least I know they do have a spot to return to when the spirit moves me to move them :)
So I continued my research on a new frig and finally narrowed it down to two models from different manufactures. Both had some pros and some cons but I took the "boss" (ha-ha!!) with me to make him feel like he had a part in the choice. (Gotta do something to make him feel important ) Of course even tho I had asked a ton of questions--even some in anticipation of what he would ask--he still had more questions...
Needless to say we bought a new frig yesterday and it gets delivered tomorrow...yep on a Sunday they are bringing it....that means I have to clean the one I am giving them but it will be easier to do that when they give me the call that says what time they are going to be here with the new one...I am gonna have so much room that it is going to look like we have no food in the house ;)
This baby is probably 18cubic feet...not too bad for two people but................

You can see that we are packed in there and you really can't see what is there and things get pushed to the back. In the effort to eat more healthy you can't see that there are fruits in the back...and sometimes things have spoiled cuz they get "forgotten". The drawer on the bottom holds things that you don't need often cuz you can't open the drawer wide enough to make it useful.

So stay tuned for tomorrow's entry when you see the new and improved organized fridg...can't wait :)

For the love of..............

FLOWERS!!!!! I love having flowers on my deck...also in the landscape of our home but that requires weeding...and I DON'T weed...maybe cuz I don't like my fingernails dirty....or I don't have the hand strength to pull them out....or kneeling hurts my knees...or...well I am sure I could think of many more reasons why I don't weed but needless to say...flower pots are more my cup of tea....the only thing I need to do is to remember to water them and pluck off the dead flowers...quite simple in my mind :)
Oh another thing I don't do is buy flowers I have no idea what they are :) or can't pronounce
So I start with the basics and usually stick with them
Petunias...they grow very well for me in the pots...ergo...lots of them are planted

full planter with them

geraniums also...altho I totally dislike their smell they seem to be able to bloom well in the planter boxes...oh and I buy small plants and let nature make them bigger...can anyone say cheap??? and a cute little wire doggie...like these much better in my plants than the real things cuz they eat the flowers

oh and I am a sucker for yard art...I have a chicken, rooster, flying pig and well grounded pig done by this same artist...so when he started doing plant pokes just had to get one...they also have a chicken that has been clucking my name every time I pass the shop but haven't stopped to answer the cluck yet
g
nope...didn't plant this one...way too many flowers in it. Dave bought it for me and you can almost see the bottom where the dogs ate the bottom of all the flowers they could reach

surprise...more petunias

oh and no picture album would be complete without a doggie or two in it...
Cassidy resting..she was eating something but looked up when I called her name

guess what these are??? yep more petunias :) love the goofy birdie too

this pile of mess is really daisy's...or at least will be when they grow up to be real flowers..this pot has yellow ones

and this pot has white ones

didn't plant these violas but they came up so they were left alone and enjoyed

HTML clipboardsome lilies to round out the mix..and a doggie to protect them

last but not least...some pups to finish the photo shoot....aaaawwww

Oh what a life...

I am reminded of the song by Frankie Valli--"Oh What A Life" I think I am in the midst of that now... :) I have a wonderful life...surrounded by people I love and love me, and dogs, dogs, dogs and people who love them.
There is a breeder who lives a bit away but is moving to Hawaii and had 4 females that she couldn't sell...not sure why but I offered to help her find homes for her babies as she is leaving and no offers on her puppies. I picked them up yesterday and in process of socializing them to my house and clan. They are full of energy and I am loving watching them romp around the back yard with each other and my dogs. They are still a tad bit shy of all this open space that I have but they are getting into the idea that they can run all over the place and play with a variety of toys that I have set up for pups. I have tunnels and balls and soft toys and tug toys and...well you name it and it is probably in the 'puppy playground'. They aren't sure of the tunnels yet but probably by the end of the day I will get them in there and lovin it.

Here are just some random shots of them playing with each other.........

Ok...so I am a puppy sap...but it is so fun :)

Ok....so one more time :)

I really have this soft spot for my girls when they ask me something...well not everything but some things...one of these things (that they get me almost every time) is when there is need for someone they know or some thing they believe in to chip in and do some thing. So once again I got a call asking me if I could make some doll clothes for an silent auction to help a local boy with leukemia. I can't imagine what the parents of this little boy are going through much the less the hospital bills that will be incurred trying to find something that will cure him.
So out came my sewing machine, well actually it is always out, and I whipped up a few outfits for the auction. I need to get my bottom in gear and make some to have on hand so when I get the next call I have something ready :) HA! like that is going to happen :)

I Love this one :) there is a local on-line mostly quilt shop that has a bin with remnants..the day I was there I picked up a bunch for dirt cheap...this is one of the pieces and it made into this jumper so cute!!! (if I do say so myself :)

Another one of the pieces I go...made this sunsuit and then had enough to make a pair of panties....wanted them to be more like bloomers but didn't have quite enough so the shorter panties worked...

I did actually have this already made to add to the batch. Started to make a skirt and sweater but had to rip the skirt out so gave up and put this into the pack

and the proverbial nightie...love the deep blue of this piece...once again one of the pieces I got on my shopping trip to Over the Rainbow :)

The last piece was put together at the last minute...just a quick skirt and the blouse from the jumper for one more quick outfit :)

here they are all together in a metal suitcase that I am going to give them too :)

Slumber Parties

Not every one gets a chance to have an extended slumber party where you are the only guest and you get attention lavished upon you...and are even taught a few new things while you are there ;)
Cassidy has been having one such time of her life. She is visiting the Thrones while they await the time when they can bring their new baby home. Their daughter put this collage together of Cassidy and I just had to share it cuz it was so cute and so well done... :) They are going to be really sad when it is time to bring Cassidy back ..but it will be short lived when they take their little guy home.

Poppy seeds

Oh everyone is not as lucky as I am :) I get to do what I love and have fun at the same time. Being a breeder is not necessarily an easy job but it is a fun one. There is lots to know and to do it right it needs lots of time. I don't mean it is physically taxing, or even mentally taxing...it is just time intensive at times and requires the ability to clean up numerous amounts of pee and poo..the fun part it to handle the pups and to watch them romp around on the deck or in the grass with each other and the older dogs that I have. The antics are quite comical when viewed through the eyes of a dog lover. Unlike some breeders who have vast quantities of dogs, I have only a few *smile* (at a time that is)...and I only do one breed...these dogs live with me and play with me and we share a bond that sometimes is unbelievable to me. It isn't unusual for me to be sitting in my chair with at least one dog in my lap but at times I have had as many as six :) Can't type on my computer but I enjoy it while it lasts. Or to have a pup there to give it some alone time to make it a bit easier to transition to a place where it will be an only dog...
Ok on to other things....yesterday I posted the merle pup...and man is he a doll...is going to make a great family dog :)
Today I am posting pictures of Poppy...my new black pup. Before I got her I was going to name her Maggie like my last black dog but Poppy seemed to fit her better :) She needs a middle name but I am sure that will come. Need to get some pics of her where the sun isn't shining as bright as it was when this was taken...but wanted to at least get a few pics of her before she is grown and "old" :)

Here she is in the cocker sprawl as I have heard it called....she is a love bug....

Happy May Day!

Once again I can't believe how quickly time is flying by....here it is May 1...soon the kids will be out of school and the weather will turn hot and I will be wishing for these cooler, rainy days.... *sigh*
Yesterday I went to another breeder friend and got two pups :) I know...you don't have to say it but I know I am a bit crazy
Isn't this guy the cutest thing you have ever seen? I am not much into merles....never like the unpredictability of them colorwise...but this guy is a sweet heart...he is HUGE!!!! Gotta weigh him but I am sure he tips the scales at over 12 pounds...and he is only 11 weeks old...might be too big for my girls but..........right now looking for a home for him...he is going to make someone a great family pet!!!!

here is a fully body shot of him....he loves to run in the grass which surprisingly is wet after the rain we got almost all day yesterday and most of this morning...so he is a bit wet on the bottom of his legs...but unlike the smaller puppies his tummy is mostly dry :)
