This was my Christmas present from my kids :) It is a metal piggy used as yard art. She will join my metal chicken in the yard keeping watch over my flock by day and night...

Used the free download today of PSE6 Group Shot.... wowzer...love what it does. So easy. I took 4 photos and took the best of each and made this and then extracted it and put their tree behind it...you can see it is put in there but it works :)

Family Christmas

We had our family together tonight to celebrate Christmas while my son and dil were here from Colorado. I am excited about some of the pictures I got as they will make some good pages :) And some that no one can see..or that is no one outside of immediate family :)

I will share the picture I took of the downfall of my evening...man were they good too......the white ones without chocolate on top of them were WW cookies..but I had some of the chocolate ones too....I have a Martha Stewart type in my family and she is always doing fun stuff like those cookies...and they taste good too :)

Worth Upgrading to PSE6??

I laughed when I saw these pictures on my computer screen. We have this thing about eyes and pictures...we can't seem to always get all of them open. The final one looks like Jason's eyes are closed but they are really open. there is a story floating around our family that when I met him and wanted to take his picture with Danica he wouldn't keep his eyes open....so the rumor is he was hit with a rock...well his eyes opened and I got a good picture of him :) but that is just a rumor...............

A year in review

This was harder than i thot it would be...to pick pictures that take you thru the year with everyone included....this year we had visits from both my sons that live far away...one is in Japan and the other was in Virginia....so we had good times with everyone in the family....what a way to remember the year gone by

Aaron was keeping himself quite entertained it looks like playing with his shadow. and Noel helped me learn how to use more papers than just one :) Thanks hon :)

I got to spend the day with a master designer :) she helped me understand some simple design things and showed me lots of examples on how to make a great lo...now if I can remember half the things she told me I should be able to put out some nice lo :) She helped with this one...I had done the basics and then she helped me move some things and get rid of other things. Now hopefully tomorrow I will undertake the other thing I want to try and that is more paper...that is scary :)

Redo

Ok for those of you in the chat room last night here is the lo I did..finished it this morning as the chat was moving way too fast to do it last night. And nope...no doggies in it Liv....just Noel and her teacher. Maybe I will have to do another one with doggies......
Wish I had done a darker background. I think it would have added to the pictures...but sometimes I do stay within the limits of the box...or at least somewhat....

I was playing with blending modes for a Photoshop Friday with Jessica. Didn't touch any of the pictures with a blend but did the paper and elements.....
Can't believe how young my son was when this was taken...he was only in kindergarten....and i was a happy mom to have all my kids gone for at least part of the day. I reveled in the quiet for the first couple of weeks..and then got into the swing of things being home alone
This teacher was the best. When Jason started out kindergarten it was with another teacher and being the quiet person that I was I pitched a fit :) Luckily they transfered him to the teacher I wanted him to have and I spent the year helping that teacher with his class.

Christmas 1980

I had scanned in some old slides and these were on it....three of the kids were in Pretty School...or that is what they used to call preschool. Santa came and had them all...you can see my rascal son pulling the beard to make sure it is real :)
This is what I love about scrapping...you can take these pictures and put them all on a page and tell a story...even if it is 20 years later


OK...so i knew when I typed that 20 years later that my daughter would make a comment..should have said around 20 years.... :) Oh well......27 years later :)

Hey

No new picture lo today....I have been busy all day :) Groomed two of my dogs and then exercised and then got my hair cut.....and then...came home and cleaned the garage...wonder where all of that energy came from today. Two of my dogs had fun today so that means two litters at the same time...what am I thinking????? that is always too hard to have...and they would both be due the same day....OK so I am crazy...but it gives me wonderful things to scrap :) I have an idea for a new lo but I have to scraplift it from a book that isn't in front of me right now and can't remember why I liked it so well. I am trying to learn how to use more than one paper in a lo so that it looks like it is supposed to be there instead of just put there...but then I have an incredible teacher and critic to help me figure out those lo that just aren't working right.......thanks Noel :)

This is the second half of the lo with Madison. Here she is actually singing instead of socializing. She and the boy next to her were the 5 Golden Rings sign :)

Madison was in her Christmas program at school. From the looks of it she was having a ball waving to all her friends and family that were there. Might need to do another lo of her actually singing instead of socializing :)

This is the newest picture I put on my web site to help sell this cute little puppy :)

Aaron, my grandson, was in his first Christmas Program at school. Aaron is autistic and there was no way of knowing how he would react to the crowds and the noise. His aide was with him and he performed well at first...but then he wanted to be done with the whole thing. Smart lady that she is, his aide came prepared with Jelly Beans...you can see Aaron begging for some and then continuing to do what he needed to do :)
