Doesn't get any better...........

Don'tcha just love the smell of sun dried sheets? I washed my bedding today and got Dave to hang a clothesline for me so that I could dry my sheets in this nice sun we are having....can't wait to crawl into bed tonight :)

Even got my quilt up there too so that it will smell nice and fresh ...

Doggie love

This is Riley...my stud muffin...he was under the tree and moved when I went to get a picture of him

A little bit of Pixie dust

Gracie getting a reprieve from her puppies

Green thumb??? HA!

Cameron and I went on a date...actually he just went with me while I ran some errands and we stopped at Lowes to see if they had my Daisy tree...which they did but I got some zuchinni and some straight neck squash and he got a couple of different watermelons...

will see if any of them produce something edible

Oh the greens that are green

Springtime also brings out the colors of the evergreens...they always tip out in spring with vibrant green tips against the dark green background

Peonies

I love these flowers...they are so bright and perky...just wish they lasted longer to enjoy all summer instead of a few short weeks in spring

One of my peony bushes

Over the edge

I guess there are always signs that you are going over the top on something :) I have never had so many knitting projects going at once...I am a start it finish it type of girl...well most of the time....three of these are hat projects that I have started...I keep one in my car for when I have to wait for someone or something...the top one is a bear outfit that has already been ripped once cuz it was way too big and the middle one is the start of leg warmers for a friends baby....

yes they are in progress works :) you can see by the yarn attached

Hopefully I will never take on another sweater or that would have to be added to my craziness :)

Doggie Art

I just love yard art...have a couple of these picks in some of my pots...they just make me smile

got this doggie last time I was at Orchards...a local nursery

here puppy, puppy, puppy

A bit of Pixie Dust

It was time to get pictures of Pixie again..she was being so cute with this flower pot...amazing what a cheap "toy" can provide so much entertainment for the player and the watchers of the game.

You can see that the pot has been well loved from all the dogs.

Pixie doing a bit of relaxing and chilling on my husbands arm while he is sleeping waiting for the Geek squad to come and set up his new computer....this picture was pre-bath...Pix had gotten into something on her back so she needed a quick bath to get her unsticky...maybe that will be a later picture...a clean Pixie

All fenced in

We have lived in this house for almost four years now and are finally getting around to putting a real fence up...or at least most of the way up. The crew came over and from digging the post holes to setting them and attaching the fence completed one full side and about a quarter of the other side...this is the long side...I had them leave a couple of the posts long so that I could put bird houses on them

the original quote was for the long side and two short sides...and then doing the last side when funds became available :) well they had more boards so they continued on the other side until they ran out...now the last side will be shorter to do when we get the quote for that side...was amazed how much they got done in a day.....love that the doggies are now fenced in with real gates and they can't see the neighbors or their dog...or people walking on the street who they need to say hello to in their nice barky tones.

Hostas

Hosta is such a funny name for a plant...reminds me of hostile... :) Hum...these aren't blooming yet but I like the different leaf patterns on the kinds I have planted in my front yard. They love the shady spot and seem to thrive by lack of attention. I have no luck at being a "green-thumber" so anything that survives my gardening skills has to be quite hardy...and love neglect

Love the yellow varigation on this one...just planted this last year so it never bloomed..maybe this year it will

And a white varigated one..again new last year so never bloomed

Something missing

This bear outfit needed something more...the wonders of the internet...I found a knitted necktie pattern that I modified so that it would fit my bear.....now he looks dapper....put it on an elastic band so that it can be slipped on and off easily by some loving child

Erin's bears, the sequel

Here is my first attempt at making clothing for a bear...or at least knitting for a bear :) Not totally pleased with the way it turned out but it is my attempt

I know that I don't like picking up stitches....wow that is not an easy thing...gotta figure out how to do this without doing the neck and sleeve pick up...

I was afraid that I would run out of green yarn as I did the hat first and it took more yarn than I thot...so I made the sweater with the white added and kept the extra green for the neck and arm.

Here is the hat with the "ear holes" for the bear....

The complete outfit....am awaiting a new book on bear clothes that I got from my new favorite on-line place....Knit Picks....and then there will be a new addition to Erin's bears.

Ready, set, action

Put the camera on action shots and went outside to watch my dogs play. Got some good ones of them running in the yard and playing.

Love how their ears fly

Bosco catching up to the other two

Pixie proud of her toy

It looks like Bosco is flying in this picture....love how Pixie is looking up at him before he descends upon her

Erin's bears

I took on another charity project :) Was at a local yarn store and got to talking about doing hats for the hospital my husband works at and the lady was telling me about the charity the yarn store has adopted...they make clothes for bears to be given to children who have lost loved ones...whether it is a sibling or a parent or grandparent....so I took this bear...the hat I made for it still needs a pom pom...and then going to try the vest pattern. And of course I found a book on bear clothes that is in my shopping cart waiting for a final purchase :)

The unmatched set

We finally got Dave's bike today...they had to build it and they don't work on Saturdays so we got it today and took a very short ride....the shortness or longness of the ride depends upon me...we start the ride on a hill and by the time I get to the top of it my legs are begging for mercy! the next part of the ride is mostly down a small slope so you can cruise a bit and the ride back up isn't bad...that is usually my quitting point but today I went beyond that a bit to another small slope...but my legs were telling me that enough is enough so I turned and went back...can I plead the fact that I am sick so I can't go very far????? Geez you would have thot all the Zumba I have been doing would have my legs in better shape that what they are:)

He looks confused..........duh??

the intensity on his face cracks me up

After I gave up he continued on and rode a few miles.......yikes!!!!

Cats beware

I just love this yard art I picked up at a local craft fair a couple of years ago....it is what would surely happen if a kitty decided to come into the yard with all the dogs...they would want to play and the cat would raise it's hackles and fly out of the yard...so far none have been brave enough to enter the "Doggie Zone"

CRAZY LADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Want to know if on the books there is something about women over 50 riding bikes?
I got this brilliant idea to look into bikes for some exercise...the bad part was I took my husband with me to look...darn I know better than that!!!!!!!!!! So we not only got me a bike we got one for him too...his is still being put together so no pictures of his.......
Maybe I ought to up the life insurance policy...or at least accidental death and/or dismemberment :)

Comes with cruise control

Padded Corinthian leather seats...no buckets here

More gears than you would ever know what to do with

And pretty flowers :)

Pixie dust

Pixie is the last puppy left of Hattie's litter...she is so cute.....she will probably be no more than 8-10 pounds when she is fully grown

For one so small she is really feisty

It is hard to get pictures of her as she never stops moving ;)

The last cuddle with her buddy, Darwin

Burning bush

We had two large and rather dead pampas grass whatevers in our front lawn....I wanted someone to dig them out when they had their big Caterpillar here but he told me to burn them...so with a simple lighter.........POOF...up they went

What is it about men and fires???

The smoke was such a cool color pink but the camera didn't catch it...but I do like the way it caught the flames...
