HERE IS TO A GREAT 2011!

Is this the end of a decade or the beginning?

I just love Ikea....I was there the other day and got some incredible bargains and these boxes....well the top boxes at least...the black ones I had already but didn't make up until recently :)
So have boxes to organize my closet! Woohoo!

here are more boxes ;)

2010 was a year of knitting....this is a work in progress right now....I made another one of worsted yarn and then this one is being done in sport weight....
2011 might be another year of quilting....I have been perusing some quilt blogs (thanks Paulette) and thinking that maybe I will do some quilting this coming year...but the ones I am looking at are mostly embroidery squares............ah...does that sound like fun?
Why is it that I fixate on something for a while then move on????

I am in love with this yarn...love the way it 'blooms' when you knit it...actually this is a baby hat but it worked on this American Girl doll (but don't tell my granddaughters or they will want some for their girls)

And this one is just funny...my computer desk....little bit hairy sometimes

Grooming Day

Today was a monumental day :) I usually groom my own dogs but because all of them need to get groomed...or at least most of them needed it...well all of them really needed it but I only took in 5 of them :)
Groomer wanted to get a pic of them all in the tub so we tried with a little bit of success to try and get all of them in and get a half way decent pic of them :)

Then here they all are after their beauty treatments :) Don't they look cute :)

this is the leash mess after walking them just from the car to the groomers...and then from the groomers to the car.........guess I need to learn how to walk my dogs :)

Added to the afternoon...we played a couple of games of Hand and Foot...such fun....darn both times I came in second :( Jason is serious about his card playing skills :)

Then we went out for a Christmas eve dinner...not our normal Christmas eve fair
I had prawn fajitas ......nummy

and then the extras to add to the tortillas :)

Moving Day...

Today was moving day.......we moved from the nursery (now I can put my sewing room back together) to the dining room. My husband started the process before I got home so only have two of the crates showing :)

He was all freaking cuz I put 12 of the pups together thinking I wouldn't know who was whose...ha silly man :)

Not everyone can put two dogs in the same pen and have them feed whoever :) I love that I can do that with my dogs and they get along...they aren't looking happy that I put them in there but they are not fussin about each other being in the same pen for a bit.

OK...here they all are...all 18 of them. Matter of fact they are sleeping so soundly that I couldn't bear to separate them between the 4 weekers and the 3 weekers.

And here is the playpen set up...when they wake up 12 of them are going in here...the younger ones will stay in the other pen for now...but I imagine that one day they will all be in here to play...that is when they can't get into the living room pen that will be set up for more play space.

Whew...what a day...........

I spend a lot of my days on the run...today I needed to wait for someone to come over and bring a dog back for a play date :) Today I decided that while I waited I would get something done :) HA....not a normal thing to do but today........ :)
It was tackle the closet day....I need to make a trip to Ikea and get some more boxes that match and fit into these cubbies and then label everything....but for now the boxes are all labeled. I want to make tags for the bins and label them also so that you can see at a glance what is in them....

Oh I do so love to be organized ;) But why does it take me so long to do it???

One of the things I found in a box and decided to display was my Wizard of Oz characters that I made a bazillion years ago...I usually don't take classes but I did for these guys...they were way too cute and have been sitting in a box for years and years....well no more..they share my sewing room with me now ;)

a friend got Cody this kitty for a toy cuz she said that when Cody was visiting her he loved her real kitty...I had to send this picture to her cuz..........well............

On the move

Pups are all on the move now...these right below are the youngest of the batch and a bit slower than the others who are a week older...but they are up on their little legs slowly moving about their cage

Here you can see them up and getting around...4 of these are Lucy's and two of the buffs are from Cassidy :)

these sweeties are from Cassidy and had been up and running and then crashed for a quick nap....what a job :)

OUCH!!!

This car made me smile today....love the antlers :) Wonder which of the reindeer drove to the library :) and wonder what book they were getting???

Next stop was the bowling alley...I haven't been bowling in forever! And I think it is something that I should have stayed away from :)

Several times the ball went the wrong way...and one time I went the wrong way too :) Am nursing my sore arm right now...thankful for Alleve and Advil...and have a massage scheduled for Monday to take care of the rest :)

This was the best game...and you can see the others I bowled with almost doubled my score....but you notice...that there was one strike...it was my one and only one...

Think I need to stick with the Wii bowling...at least that one I can do easier :)

Puppies, Puppies and more Puppies

It has been quite busy around here...three litters in one week :) Whew!!!!

It started the night before Thanksgiving. Cassidy had four puppies....I knew she had more to come but she had totally stopped...so I put her in the pen and expected to find a couple more when I woke up...Well at 7 when I woke up and no more babies....so I let her out and then put her back in the pen...she continued making noise so I walked in there and there were 4 more puppies...in the space of an hour she had four more pups :) So total of 8 pups for first time mama.

Next up on Friday Lucy started to have puppies...but being the sweetie that she is she started in the afternoon so that I lost no sleep :) Four pups for Lucy :)

then the following Tuesday, Grace had her pups....she was sweet too and had them during the day. Within an hour and half she had 6 beautiful pups.


So if you count 8+4+6=18....yep 18 puppies to play with....soon they will be running around all over the place :)

Snow before Thanksgiving???

We rarely get snow where we are...and in the 18 years I have lived here we have NEVER had it before Thanksgiving....but old man winter has other ideas of what this year is going to bring. When they forecasted snow for our area I didn't really think it was going to happen..silly me! It has been snowing all morning and I keep sweeping off the deck so that it doesn't get too slick for me to take the pup down to potty....
