Sometimes a picture comes across your computer that you just have to share. I sold two puppies to a lady named Tiana on Friday....she sent me an update and some pictures...one of the pictures was this one...the puppies asleep together...but more than that...they formed a shape of a heart...now ya gotta admit..that is pretty cute.

Equal time
Just didn't want to make poor Abby feel left out so I thot I would post this picture of her that I took yesterday. Sharpened it up a bit...was playing with apertures and my new 18-200mm lens. I love that thing...you can go from quite far away to very close as you can see in this picture she was right in front of me.
Oh the top picture was done with the tutorial on Noel's blog :)

Waiting
I have been waiting to post this picture of a snail that followed me home from Noel's house way back in the beginning of August....she never noticed it was gone till she saw it at my house on the back porch one day......well she thot she would get even and stole my chicken....and then I didn't even notice it was gone as I was always busy watching the puppies to see if they were pottying or getting into any trouble...the entire family was in on it and thot it funny that I never noticed it gone....oh well...so much for my powers of observation...guess they have gone down the tube....or should I say...to the dogs??
don't you think that he looks very happy at my house??? what I think is funnier is that I didn't notice that the snail was gone :(

Dust Bunnies
Lucy got under one of my pieces of furniture and found this dust bunny...it made such a cute beard for her that I had to get my camera and snap a few shots. Now...if I could just teach her how to collect all the dust bunnies and put them in the trash for me.......hum...she does have a tail...maybe I could put a dust mop on the end of her tail and she could become my cleaning lady :) Whatever she is cute collector of dust bunnies for me
Big Boy Haircut
Here is a pre-haircut picture of my little boy :)
My baby got his first haircut today...he was getting so shabby. He looks like a big boy now. He wasn't crazy about standing there while I clippered him but he endured it most of the time. It helped that he was tethered so that he couldn't go very far. Didn't do his face much as he was tired of me primping him....poor baby :)

Three Queens
This is the last layout for the Type-Writer class. We were to write in the third person a fairy tale type of entry of someone and an object that was important to us. Well I didn't quite do that but I did use these photos and tell a story of three queens.
WOW it was amazing! I learned some things about journaling and lots of new things about Typography. It was a four month course packed into two weeks. To make things a little simpler in the course we had templates and just added papers, pictures and words to make them uniquely ours. We got these amazing tips on how to write our feelings out on paper....well we got them but not sure I can remember or even used them but I loved the class........so if you have nothing else to do...hop on over to Jessica Sprague's website and see when the next class is going to start :)

Layout about Young Jackie
Shutter Speeds
I am taking a photography class from Candice Stringham and our first lesson was on shutter speeds....it has taken forever for me to get this posted cuz I couldn't find the shutter speeds and guess from some information from PSE5...hope they are close :)
We were sitting at a restaurant where I had brought my camera to ask Noel about shutter speed readings on my Nikon. So I practiced by having Torrey shake her head back and forth....and got these really cool pictures.

Next one ;)
Here is the layout for yesterday's lesson....I haven't been good at doing the journaling for 15 minutes a day as life has been really busy. My mother in law ended up in the hospital and I was home for all of an hour yesterday.....then today someone picked up their puppy so after being in town for a bit I had to get the pup ready to go to it's forever home. So tonight was the night to get caught up on this layout...I still have my camera class to catch up on and having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to figure out the shutter speed so that I can post my pictures....oh well..maybe that will be tomorrows project of the day.

Two very new cool things.
At least they were both new to me. The first one is Wordle which is a site for making your words into word art. It is so smooth and slick that it takes only some text and voila you have word art. I learned this little trick from Jessica at the Type-Writer course..maybe I shouldn't share it but I thot it was too cool to not ;) Specially when Noel reads this and hasn't heard about it yet :)
The second very cool thing that I found from one of the Pickleberry Pop site was this Palette Generator from Big Huge Labs. It takes a picture that you want in your layout and gives you a color palette to work with...now for those who are color challenged like I am it gives hope to the weary of making your layout blend nicely with the colors.
There is also Kuler who puts out color palettes for you to chose from but this is different...so have fun experimenting with these fun new things that I found. I did :)
The words in this are used from this blog post, copied and pasted in Wordle.

Once Upon A Time
One of my favorite things to do is to snuggle in my bed with a good book. I read a lot! Usually Christian Romance books...ones that aren't too sappy but get a message across and make me think of my Creator in a new, different, or renewed light. My favorite author at this point is Michael Phillips whom I have read almost everything he has written and probably have all of those books on my shelves that I reread time and time again. They never seem to get too old or boring for me. Geez...lots of times I even forget a major portion of the book and find myself wondering if that could have been there the first time I read the book :)
At a friends recommendation, I got a new book to read. Totally not my normal type of book but hearing that it was very good I went ahead and purchased the book. All I can say is "WOW!!!" If you are looking for a great book to read this just be your ticket. It isn't long but it is a good read.
This book is a work of fiction (or possibly based on a true story). Without giving any of it away, it takes God out of the box that we so often want to stuff Him into and tape with the strongest duct tape that we can find. It is an excellent book on forgiveness and finding the path back to life after a major bump in the road. It is one man's journey told in a way that brings out all of the emotions. The book will make you laugh, cry, get angry but most of all it will make you think of God in a whole new way.
I have heard that the book is controversial. I didn't find that at all...but then I have spent a good many years cutting away the duct tape on my small box that I have tried to fit God into.
So if you are up for a good read then I heartily recommend this book :

At it again
I am taking another class from Jessica Sprague and Liv Esteban...It is a Journaling and Typography class...this is day 1 and day 2 of the assignments....don't tell Liv but I am having a hard time keeping up with the journaling part of the project....but each day she gives an assignment I do manage to finish it but am having trouble doing it for 15 minutes a day...guess I don't have that much to say :)
this one below was really fun...not that it was about me...yuck...but the typography that we got to do and learn was really fun
OK...so the mistakes in the first layout have been corrected...thank you Jeanne and Suzanne for pointing them out to me :)

Projects :)
Noel and I went Antique shopping and she made me spend lots of money :) When I got home my DH put all the things I bought up for me...now that is speedy...maybe he was trying to earn Brownie points..which I think he did
First thing I got was this cool picture display thing...it has these clips on it and you can put pics on it....so now my frig is empty of pictures and they are on this and I can easily change them when I get new ones
Then I got this sign....and Noel said I should get one for Danica who has a child with autism and has trials that a lot of us would never even think of handling........but instead of picking up another of the same some how I grabbed a different one....
My husband wants me to keep this one too :)
Another thing I got was these brackets to hang these thick, old looking shelves. They were actually flower boxes at the house we are at and we took them out when we redid the yard but I wanted to keep the wood to use......they are cool looking and go on either side of an antique cupboard.
Last but not least is this scroll thingy to hang above this picture... cool huh?

Smiles
Some of you might wonder why I have so many dogs in my life...other than the fact that I breed dogs.....I love the shenanigans that they do almost every day. Here Riley is playing with the puppy...from the first picture where he is almost in a stalking position to the run around pictures. Now you get to smile too :)
