Happy Halloween/April Fools

every once in a while a spoof comes out really good....i had texted the kids that we had just had a big fight and they might not want to plan on staying real long...they were both a bit apprehensive of coming but they knew that the kids would want the candy that i had gotten....
little did they know that i had gotten stuff to put on our faces to spoof them...
imagine their surprised faces and the laughs we got when we came out the door looking like we had had a knock down drag out fight :)

you can't see the black eyes too good but we both had them...and you really can't see the bruised face well either........

in action...well there were quite a few action shots but jason was laughing so hard trying to take the pictures that a bunch are really blurry...but too funny ;)

jailbird being naughty

the mad madison scientist

the gang just hanging

the jailbird....oh so appropriate :)

chillin

A few Sunday's ago I went to the local state beach and just sat and enjoyed the water....wanted to much to hear the crash of the waves but it just doesn't happen around here....

the reason is that we are blocked in by another island to the west of us...they cut the waves down so that we just get the tiny swells...but this day it was quite calm on the water. Wish this picture could have showed how cool the water looked with the sun shining on it...but alas...it was my phone camera

in the pic above and the pic below you can catch a glimpse of the island that blocks those lovely crashing waves

but what we do get is cool driftwood on the beach...really hard to see unless you enlarge the picture is the sailboat on the horizon...someone was really enjoying themselves

love looking at this stuff :)

these two were just sunning themselves..after i took the picture learned how to use the zoom on my phone camera...darn :)

what a wonder....

what a wonderful place I live in....went to the centennial trail the other day...well guess I have been there twice....once with my little legs and once with my bike....the day I walked it (or I should say part of it) I had my phone and got the picture of these beautiful clouds....and people say it rains all the time...not........just check out the clouds and the deep blue sky and you will get a glimpse of the heaven I live in

here is the road before me :) love this trail...it is paved and fairly flat and is wonderful for a stroll or ride...think I will take one or more of my dogs once I know it isn't going to rain on me :)

then today I went to the other island that is on the west side of us....and this guy was just sitting by the side of the road....he is really close...as in a road width away

and he really didn't seem afraid...guess I should say...she...and there was a baby that crossed the road behind me........oh i love country livin :)

the beginning and the end....

in the beginning of the day I woke up to a beautiful sunrise...too bad I couldn't have caught the vibrant colors in it but I took the picture anyway..........

in the middle there was a spider's intricate web....I just love fall

and the end....not the vibrant colors you see sometimes but the clouds were beautiful and the sun shining its last little glimmers before going for a rest here and shining on the other side

Country Living

Oh it is times like fall that I love living in the Northwest....the fall colors on the trees and the pumpkin patches that are scattered in large fields around the area just make you want to smile. I was in my daughter's development and got some pictures of the colors on the trees...of course I only had my phone with me but the pics didn't come out too bad in the grand scheme of things ;)

just love the deep reds and bright yellows that mix with the normal greens of these trees...the developer of this place did a good job of lining the street with colorful trees.

I have to drive by this pumpkin patch getting on and off the island and keep thinking...I am going to stop and get some pictures...well today was the day to do it :)

pole pumpkin :)

they even have a photo shoot place all set up for those families with kids who want to get a quick photo at the pumpkin patch

and then there are the "objects" that are placed in the patch....looks like a giant orange mushroom with a jack-o-lantern face....what cracked me up was the green bucket for the stem :) something you don't see from the road

acres and acres of pumpkins

little pumpkins

another "object" placed in the field....can you guess what is the base for this kitty cat? If you guessed hay bale you would be right :)

more mini pumpkins

we had a cold summer and it delayed a lot of the pumpkins from getting to be pumpkins...guess in the patch there were some hundred pound pumpkins too...the lady told me that after I had walked part of the patch...would have taken a picture but was done ;)

they just do this up right :)

ha....no fair guessing my weight...oh they might mean the pumpkin sitting below the sign...just thot it funny...what woman wants anyone to guess their weight???

and there is a corn maze...popular up here and I didn't even know it was there till I walked by it :)

and just before I got back to my car I had to take a picture of the state animal...well at least it seems that way...well guess it isn't the animal but the evidence that the animal is somewhere around there....could take dozens more of this kind of picture in my back yard. I have a mole chasing dog that has kept a lot of the moles from coming up in the yard...but he was gone for a week and man did they know he was gone and surfaced for a bit ...he is back and hopefully chasing their underground paths

Payment for a job well done

Madison was a trooper when her mom went to Colorado for a mini vacation...Maddie was stuck with the job of taking care of Aaron a lot of the time...for those of you who don't know Aaron is autistic and prone to get into trouble :) Maddie did an awesome job of taking care of him so I wanted reward her and take her out....
there were no real plans...I wanted to take her to a movie...which she wasn't interested in seeing so guess there goes those plans...do lunch...and maybe a bit of shopping. Maddie is a girl after her grums heart...she loves making things and working with her hands so we went to Michaels just to look around...and when we walked in the front door they were painting pumpkins....so we got a pumpkin and she proceeded to make her own up cuz the spider or bat weren't creative enough for her :) as you can see by the girl beside her who is following the scheduled program and Madison's is no where close....she would have painted several different colors if that had been an option :) The lady who was doing it did a great job of letting her show her creative self without trying to make her fit into the mold ;)

the finished product...not quite sure what it is but its name is Carl

Then off to Red Robin..........YUMMMMMM.....for lunch. The hardest decision was whether to eat Spaghetti ? (at red robin????) or Chicken Fingers...well Chicken Fingers with mandarin oranges won out.........this is for her uncle who works for RR :)

Then she saw Party City and wanted to go there...so we took a bunch of funny pictures with different masks and hats....

This one was for her mother who thinks she is deathly afraid of snakes :) It was promptly texted to her so that she could see what I told her we were bringing home :)

Then off to the hat aisle
not sure what this one was but she had to try it on

this one reminds me of the Goldie Hawn movie Private Benjamin :)

Pharaoh Pharaoh

Gladiator Maddie...love the looks she makes with each of these....

As I am sitting here posting these pictures I wish I had gotten pics of her playing with the puppies that we did after all this fun....but for now it is just a part of the memory of the day...
Good job Maddie with Aaron!!!!

Magnificent Obsession....

I was thinking today about things that I have lately "been into".....and thot of the stacks of things I have around my house right now...and the stacks keep growing :)
I am a fan of the library and have ordered a few books....ha on checking....I have 12 checked out and 11 on hold ;) and this doesn't count the books of my own that I am reading also :)
So today I thot I would take pictures of my stacks...and I kept finding stacks
Here is the stack on my bed

the stack beside my bed

the stack in my bathroom

the stack that hasn't made it to the bedroom yet

and the one that is in my car right now :)

at least I am reading at 5 of these at one time...maybe more...........I never read more than one book at a time normally but right now am working on several at a time....oh my achin brain :)
