A new normal?

Wow....been a while since I posted that the format has changed :( But it seems easy to navigate
So all my friends who follow me...I have some news for you....it isn't good news so if you don't want to continue reading then stop and go do something else with your day
Ok....here it goes...on Feb 9, 2012 I had an unusual thing happen...my hand fell off the wheel...normally not something to worry about but this decided to be something,...and something big. Through all of this to make a somewhat long story short--I have a brain tumor that altho they operated on it they cannot remove all of it. I am doing some radiation and chemo but that is only to slow growth of it
My life as I knew it has been changed in an instant!
I no longer can do my pups...I can't even care for an adult dog so I am finished with my fur babies...that was one of the hardest things to let go of but it had to happen
BUT!!!!!!! I want you all to know there is a deep abiding peace with my Lord that is carrying me through this time...He is letting me see incredible things along the way that most people rush on by not recognizing his hand during their day
I have my speech and movement--slow tho it is right now and the cognitive skills to be able to clean up some loose ends.
I don't know how long I have but I do know who holds my future
Oh and I guess I should mention that at this time my husband is also quite ill...so a double whammy for my kids
I covet your prayers----that I continue to see God in all of this and bring Glory to His name

Dear Jackie, I have followed your blog ever since we brought home our precious puppy three years ago. I marveled at your "calm in the middle of the storm" attitude whether talking about your crafts, home projects, puppies, grandchildren, or just life in general. You made me laugh and you inspired me. I thank you for continuing to reach out and touch my life through your unshakable faith in God. I read your words and once again marveled at your ability to navigate troubled waters with such dignity and grace. You, your husband and your family shall be in my prayers. Blessings to you.

I adopted my dog, Charlie, from Karla...Zoe was his Momma. I believe he was one of the pups from her first litter. I haven't seen much on Facebook, so I decided to pop on over here. I have been following your blog for awhile now, but have gotten a little behind on my blog reading lately so I am just hearing this news. I just wanted to say that I am sorry to hear about your health problems! Also sorry to hear that you can no longer have any furbabies around. That must be very hard on top of everything else that you and your family are going through. I have health problems as well. Not having my dogs would make it so much harder. You and your family will be in my prayers. <3 Evonne Smith from Cheney, WA.

I am just seeing your blog for the first time. You will be in my prayers. What a lovely testimony to God's grace, and the peace you have found in the midst of great trials. It seems life brings us too much to bear, and to such wonderful people. I have battled breast cancer, and my husband, lung cancer. We are fine for now. At any time, this old cancer can rear it's ugly head, but we are determined to live life as it comes, one day at a time, as you have said. The joy we have far outweighs the bad times. I pray that the doctors can keep this cancer at bay. Enjoy your days. Your fur babies are adorable. We will face giving up our beloved Boston soon as she has nasal cancer. God bless you and your dear husband..
